Located only 207km west of Sydney, getting to Bathurst is easy and scenic.


From Sydney travel west on the M4 motorway and the Great Western Highway or via Richmond and the Bells Line of Road. Either route passes through spectacular Blue Mountains scenery and picturesque villages before taking you beyond Lithgow and through delightful agricultural landscapes to reach the city of Bathurst. Travel time from Sydney CBD or airport is only 3 hours.


NSW TrainLink operates daily services between Bathurst and Sydney providing links with other regional centres. All trains and coaches arrive at and depart from Bathurst Railway Station, contact 02 6334 8600.

Offer a daily service between Sydney and Bathurst. This is an unreserved service. Tickets can be purchased from the Travel Centre or issued from the ticket machine on the day of travel.
The XPT departs Sydney each morning for Dubbo via Bathurst and returns to Sydney in the afternoon.
