Unwind with fellow night owls at the Artstate Bathurst Festival Club, a chilled out space featuring guest spots from local Central West musicians and performers. From bluesy folk to cheeky cabaret and the promise of mystery behind the Confetti door, spend some time down at Majellan’s and make every night of Artstate one to remember.

The Mumming All-Stars Extravaganza

At the beginning of June every year, second year Charles Sturt University students from Bathurst’s Theatre/Media degree descend on pubs all over town to perform bawdy, rawkus pop up performances for unsuspecting locals. After a lengthy research process on location with local pub denizens, the students craft Mumming performances, an ancient European tradition, that speak directly to the pub patrons about of matters of local interest, concern and discussion.
In recognition of this tradition, Artstate will bring together a cast of Theatre/Media graduates from over 20 years of the course for a one-off Mumming EXTRAVAGANZA performed at the Festival Club. Using the conference, the Arts Program and their own ‘research’ at the Festival Club, these daring performers will whip together a show in 3 days in response to the conversation held all around Artstate.
With big characters, wicked verse and incisive wit, this performance will be an unmissable and ridiculous insight into Artstate Bathurst.
Created and performed by Georgina Adamson, Mikaela Attalah, Robert Clearly, Sasha Cody, Mathew Davis and Heather Edmonds.
