Hattie Oates

Tamworth’s Hattie Oates is a 2017 graduate of the CMAA Junior Academy, and 2018 winner of the Mount Franklin Junior Talent Quest. Hattie found her dedication and love for music at just 10 years old, and this year has been on the up and up for this busy 15 year old singer-songwriter, gigging at every opportunity around Tamworth, Armidale and recently in South Australia. She was also honoured to be asked to perform at the VIP Departure Breakfast (a part of the Qantas Drought Relief campaign), preceding the successful HAY Mate Concert held in Tamworth last October.

Hattie’s musical path isn’t honed by any particular style and after recording earlier this year, she was excited to release her single, “She’s All Yours” in mid-December. This was followed by her debut, self-titled EP. This work is a collection of 4 carefully selected songs. Although they have their own identity, they all speak from the same heart and mind.

“Hattie is a true artist in the making. Her connection to lyrics and soulful voice are well beyond her years. She’s a star.” – Lyn Bowtell, six-time Golden Guitar winner.
