Kathryn Luxford is a 16-year-old singer/songwriter and performer from Glen Innes, a small town in north-east NSW. From the age of 4, Kathryn has always had the dream of being onstage. It was at this age that she first picked up a guitar – and she hasn’t put it down since. At the age of 8 she started singing and at 9 she started busking and entered her first talent quest. In an under 18’s section she took the title and has continued to compete in countless other competitions and win a few along the way. Since her first win, she’s gone on to perform in many different locations around eastern Australia.

In September of 2016, Kathryn released her debut acoustic EP titled Walk Alone. The EP has gone on to be played in over 26 countries. She performs on a regular basis at many local venues and in school performances. When she isn’t performing solo, Kathryn performs in her band, Burnt Embers. Burnt Embers have played to crowds of thousands of people, as has Kathryn on her own. In 2018, she was selected to be part of Phase 1 of the Talent Development Project in Sydney, through this program she had the pleasure of working with numerous industry professionals and network with other upcoming Australian artists. Kathryn is currently working on another EP and wishes to pursue her dream of music after school.
