Regional Youth Orchestra NSW Finale Concert

Sunday 11:00am – 12:30pm

Update: RYO listing Artstate Tamworth

Now an Artstate tradition, talented young musicians from Regional Conservatoriums across NSW perform in a FREE symphony orchestra concert as the closing event of Artstate Tamworth, Regional Arts NSW’s conference and festival. The program features Celebration Tango by Elena Kats-Chernin, Egmont Overture by Beethoven, Finlandia by Sibelius and Symphony No 4 by Tchaikowsky.

Regional Youth Orchestra NSW (RYO NSW) showcases the musical talent of regional youth from the seventeen Regional Conservatoriums based in country towns across the state. These young musicians have performed at the Sydney Opera House and have been mentored by world-class conductors and players from the Australian World Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Opera Australia Orchestra.

RYO NSW is an initiative of the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums and is hosted in Tamworth by Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music.
