Food

Fresh locally sourced food from Bathurst producers will be a feature of Artstate Bathurst. Delegates will find coffee and tea on arrival at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre for the two days of the Artstate Speakers program. Morning tea and lunches will all be served in the foyer, and dietary requirements will be catered for if noted in your registration.

For those who can’t do without a serious caffeine fix, we will have a coffee van strategically placed outside the venue. We are also giving you plenty of time to explore food options (and to schedule those impromptu business meetings) with a two hour break between the end of the speakers program and before the arts program starts.

On the Artstate Bathurst opening night, local wine and beer will be available courtesy of Bathurst Vignerons, and a sausage sizzle will be on site thanks to the Lions Club of Bathurst Macquarie Inc. On Friday night in Machattie Park, listen to outdoor music as part of the Artstate Bathurst outdoor music program, and attend a sausage sizzle courtesy of the Lions Club of Bathurst.

Artstate Dinner

The Carrington is the venue for the Artstate Dinner. Built in 1889 as a Masonic Hall this Italianate style building with stuccoed and decorated surfaces is an opulent setting reflecting the historical architecture of Bathurst. Delegates will be welcomed and entertained by Bathurst’s favourite cabaret act, Rusty Nails (Kate Smith). Relax and enjoy a celebratory dinner at the end of the conference program. Hear from our special guest, the Hon. Don Harwin MLC who will reveal where Artstate 2019 will be held!

Rusty Nails

Rusty Nails is Bathurst’s very own alternative cabaret Queen extraordinaire. After a whistle stop tour of caravan parks and RSL club across the region she is thrilled to be hosting the Artstate Conference Dinner, as well as squeezing in a special appearance at the Festival Club the night before.

Rusty’s tales of life, love, the universe and everything expose a unique if slightly deluded take on reality. Known for her love of power ballads, high-octane jazz dancing and sharp witted one-liners, Rusty has strutted her stuff for central west audiences for ten years and counting… get ready for a treat or two from Rusty and her fabulous band, featuring local Rob Shannon and Tiff Mason.
