Dhinawangu Walaaybaa -Emu’s Country : Tamworth's Public Art Trail

Walk along Tamworth’s public art trail with artist Amy Hammond and Gallery Director Bridget Guthrie as they discuss  Dhinawangu Walaaybaa – Emu’s Country sculpture, inspired by weaving and using Augmented Reality (AR). AR solutions have been used in public art and exhibitions, to surprise, intrigue and educate, capturing new audiences.

Regional Youth Orchestra Closing Concert

Now an Artstate tradition, talented young musicians from Regional Conservatoriums across NSW perform in a FREE symphony orchestra concert as the closing event of Artstate Tamworth, Regional Arts NSW’s conference and festival.

The Regional Youth Orchestra NSW (RYO NSW) showcases the musical talent of regional youth from the seventeen Regional Conservatoriums based in country towns across the state. These young musicians have performed at the Sydney Opera House and have been mentored by world-class conductors and players from the Australian World Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and Opera Australia Orchestra.

RYO NSW is an initiative of the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums and is hosted in Tamworth by Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music.
