Karenza Ebejer is an independent filmmaker based in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Her focus is on Community and Educational video production as well as short films.
Since completing her Post Graduate Diploma in Film and TV at QUT in Brisbane in 2000, Karenza has worked in a different roles as Writer, Director and Producer on numerous short films, many which have had national festival success.
As well as producing her own work, Karenza has been a Video Production Mentor for youth and community groups in both Brisbane and the Northern Rivers.
Since moving to the Northern Rivers in 2012, she has completed a refresher course at North Coast TAFE in Screen & Media in 2015 and was given an Award of Excellence for her studies there. Her first long form music documentary, with Australian Cultural Fund Crowdfunding support, came straight after her studies. She then went on to produce a short film for the Createability initiative Tilly’s Symphony in partnership with Screenworks and ABC Open North Coast.
She is currently in production on another short film for the Createability project as well as mentoring in film production for Red Inc Disability service.
