Our Delegate’s Guide to Artstate Lismore

23 Nov 2017 /

Artstate Lismore is nearly here! We’ve got all your last minute questions sorted, including what to wear, where to eat, and museums to visit! Have a read below, and if you have a question that isn’t answered feel free to shoot us an email or find us at the registration desk at Lismore City Hall.

What should I wear?

Some showers are predicted, so be sure to bring a raincoat or poncho, and some comfy walking shoes.

Where can I eat?

Our conference is fully catered, but if you’re after dinner or a bite to eat, try the Lismore Dining Guide! Our top recommendations include Banzai Japanese Restaurant, Fire in the Belly, and for something cosy and casual, the Bank Café and Espresso. At the Lismore Quadrangle, you’ll be able to enjoy food and drinks from Slate, and a Lion’s Club Sausage Sizzle will be available on the Opening Night.

Where do I register?

Registration will be available at the Lismore City Hall from 9:00am – 5:00pm on Thursday 30 November, and 8:00am – 5:00pm on Friday 1 December and Saturday 2 December.

Do I need a car?

All of Artstate’s Speakers and Arts Program events are in walking distance! If you do want to go for a drive however, check out some of our associated events in the Creative Lismore program which are in the various Northern Rivers villages.

What else can I see?

If you’re interested in getting off the beaten track, check out our guide to the Northern Rivers here. Alternatively, if you’d like to see what museums are available in the area, visit Museums & Galleries of NSW’s handy guide. Want to do a bit of vintage shopping? Lismore Tourism knows the best spots, and you can find them here.

Where can I find out accessibility information?

General access information is available here, and we list all access specifications on our venues page here. Creative Lismore associated events are also listed with their accessibility. If you have specific requirements send us an email here or find us at Lismore City Hall. Please note that some venues are stair access only.

Will festival events continue in wet weather?

Yes! Artstate will proceed rain, hail or shine.
